Parish February 12th 2017
Exploring Prayer session tomorrow, Monday February 13th, at
7pm in St Thomas Community room. We explore more imaginative ways of praying
using music, pictures, meditation, scripture and more. Whether you have joined us
before or not all are welcome!
Advance notice.. several
people have expressed interest in doing the intercessions in our church services. It is very good to have many
different people doing this, including our year 6 young people. To help and
encourage I plan to lead a session on this at St Agnes Church on February 28th
at 7pm. This will last no more than an hour. Attending does not commit you to
leading the intercessions!
Is there anyone willing to
take over putting together the newsletters?
It isn’t a big job, just using information given to update the newsletter and
dates each week and e mail them round. Karen prints a few copies once a month
for each church. If you might be interested please talk to Edith.
There are
still some tickets available for the Rose
Queen Dinner Dance at the White Hart on Friday March 10th.

A gentle
reminder – our Tuesday morning Communion
service is held every week at 10am. At St Thomas’. Currently we are in the
community room (warm!) and we have a cuppa and a chat afterwards. If you are
available and haven’t yet joined us do come along.
If you want
to hold a social gathering or meeting do consider hiring our community room. It holds up to 30
easily, 40 with a bit of a squash, is warm and there is a kitchen and toilet.
The cost is reasonable and we have links with a caterer if you are interested
in that too. Audrey is in charge of bookings for the room.
